Features :

The application addresses any business with associates on the road who wish to simplify and enhance the driving routes and take every-day decisions by using state-of-the-art technology. Some examples includes big or smaller companies with orders/deliveries of any kind of goods (parcels, food, mailing, commercial products etc). It works both in the company as a fleet management system and in all vehicles as a mobile navigation application. The route calculator and the business working environment provide all the necessary information that both the manager and the recipient need. The application provides the following features:

• Advanced and optimized routing for company vehicles
The system optimizes the route for all vehicles of a company with orders / deliveries. Assigns them accordingly in order to find the best route for each vehicle saving time and fuel. It takes into consideration the stop time on each delivery (sign papers etc) and also the maximum available time of the driver.

• Automatic calculation for loading orders / deliveries to vehicles according to their type
The assignment of the orders / deliveries is considering the vehicle type and the volume of the order.

• Customer’s time frame availability calculation for deliveries
When the system calculates the optimized route for each vehicle it takes into consideration the time restriction that the customer might have.

• Mapping new areas
Custom points can be entered into the system in order to make it easy for vehicles to find their way to clients. Using the custom point functionality, the system can route and work in areas that are not yet supported on the map.

• Navigation
For each order / delivery the vehicle has to perform, the navigation device of the vehicle receives the route automatically. The driver doesn’t need to do anything as the system changes from one to the other without any human interference.

• Fleet Manager
Apart from the current position of each vehicle, the system displays their current destination and details about it. These details consist of the current task description, the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and the Remaining distance to cover. Additionally the user can see all the tasks which have been completed with the vehicle and the tasks yet to be done.

• Object / Order tracking over internet and off-line
The application with its web interface can give the recipient the ability to locate his order / delivery over the internet. All he has to do is to enter its order tracking number and he can see on-line the number plate of the vehicle to which the order has been assigned, its current position on the map, the estimated time of arrival, the driver’s name, and other details. He can also change his telephone number (the one initially given with the order / delivery) with another one, the notification time period and also the notes about the order. Once he updates, all information is sent to the vehicle without the driver having to take any additional measures.

• Customer notification with an SMS before delivery
When a customer initially places an order he can ask the company for a notification prior to arrival. The system will send a notification SMS automatically.

• Task management for unexpected tasks
Some companies such as taxis and road assistance companies do not have scheduled tasks to perform during the day. Instead, customers call in and ask for a taxi to pick them up from point A and transfer them to point B. In these cases, as soon as the task (call) is entered in the application’s system then a message is sent to all available taxis within a close range from the pick-up point (Range
1). If a taxi driver answers positively to the message then the system sends to his device the navigational directions to the pick-up point and when he gets there, the directions to the second point (destination). If there is no answer from a taxi in Range 1 then the message is sent to taxis at an intermediate distance from the pick-up point (Range 2), and then to those at a further distance (Range 3). After that, the system either re-enters the message and tries to find a taxi or sends an abort SMS to the customer.

• Mark POI (points to remember)
When a person from the company is on the move then it can mark a point to remember on his device by pressing the appropriate button. The point is sent to the server and it is kept there for future use. These points are categorized and can be converted into tasks. Then the application, with an optimized routing procedure, can assign them to a vehicle.

• Avoid POI (points to avoid)
Avoid points are points that the whole fleet of the company needs to be aware of or even avoid. Once a vehicle reaches such a point then the driver can press a button on his device so that the avoid point is immediately sent to the other vehicles, and a message is shown on their device. Then, when another vehicle reaches this point, there is an alert message to alert/remind the driver so that they can take appropriate action. These avoid points are kept active for a specified period of time and are erased automatically when the time expires.

• SDK (Software Development Kit)
An SDK is provided for the application in order to allow other developers to customize the product.
